Here's how I deal with fashion insecurities.

#1 Tunics are my friends.
These pants are super comfy. I feel like wearing them everyday, but I don't have enough tunics for that. And I don't wear skinny jeans without tunics, because that is just not attractive. I was not really designed for skinny jeans. I was designed for birthing babies with big heads. So tunics to the rescue.

#2 Fads in Moderation.
Vanilla and chocolate and a little leopard to top it off. I like leopard, but I'm scared to wear it in large doses. I have relegated it to my feet and the side of my glasses. Tame leopard, not the wild leopard. Just a little bit o' trend for me.

We are having a bit of a hot spell here, so I whipped out the shorts.
Then I got my hair cut, which is the only reason it is looking smooth. I curl my hair cause I can't make it smooth. Then I went to the doctor, and I had to take my shoes off. I was really embarrassed that my feet might smell, so I warned him, and he laughed. I'm not sure if they smelled, but they were sweaty. Today I embraced the sweat. Tomorrow I will curl the hair.

I would say that sometimes I work with my insecurities. I'm short so I don't often wear long skirts or ones that hit mid calf because they make me look even shorter.
Other times I fight them. I have a larger lower section, but I do wear skinny jeans because I just love how they look!

Thanks for your comment. You are right, I kind of took a break from WIWW. I was tired of see my same clothes on camera!! Time for new clothes or a new season.

You look great! I really like the leopard shoes. I'm all about animal prints and bling.
The first outfit, the dress and jeans look beautiful on you and make you look very slim. No one would know that you have wide hips, they don't look it in any of your outfits. Goes to show that you know how to dress for your body style. Good for you!

I definitely have fashion insecurities! Mine center around body type issues, so like you, I dress according to the body I have, not the ones the models have in all those catalogs and fashion magazines.
Skinny pants and jeans and I are not speaking to each other, right now, but I am considering making up, IF there is a tunic or long sweater involved! :)

I love your outfits! Nine times out of ten I feel insecure about what I'm wearing... But when I get great feedback off my blog I feel like I can do anything. Thanks for the nice comment. Ps. My shoes are a turquoise fake raw silk that I found at some shoe store in this high end mall in San Diego for like $15 buck. Score!
