Homemade Heroes

I've been inspired by all the great projects that Jenny has been tackling lately,

so I got out my sewing machine and looked up a tutorial that I found at

the Pleated Poppy a while back.

And the result...

A couple of homemade heroes!

Introducing...

Super "Z" Boy

(he's big on lollipops)

and...

"TB" Technology Boy
(not to be confused with Tuberculosis!)

They are off to save the neighborhood.

i love those linda, especially their super hero names! i bought one for judah for christmas last year (from lindsay) and it's so cool but he actually preferred his blue blanky for a cape. but hopefully he will grow to like it as he gets older since it's adjustable so he can wear it for awhile.

Yay! My first blog shout out!!! Your capes turned out so great, I bet the boys are loving them and having so much fun pretending they're conquering the world :)

Jamie... I'll bet Judah will be loving it in no time!! You are such a sweet Auntie! :)

Jen... I think I'm going to do a girl cape for a friend and do patchwork with Amy Butler fabrics on one side.

Denise... it was pretty straight forward following Lindsey's tutorial. Each one probably took 1 1/2 to 2 hours for each one. I used satin inside of Jason's which makes it drape really nicely. I got all the fabric for both at Walmart for a little over $7. We also got some rainboots to complete the look! ;)
