Adventure and the River Glorious

My brother-in-law, Alvin, was up visiting last week,
and we had ourselves a little adventure!
Here's the footage...

(If you want to hear the sound better, pause the music at the bottom of the blog first.)

We took off 4x4ing in the beautiful countryside behind Lake Lopez and ended up in Creston.

We brought along a book we've been going through and had a sweet devotional time.
Quite coincidentally, the next song
in "Hymns for a Kid's Heart"
"Like a River Glorious"
by Frances Ridley Havergal
So we sat by our little river in God's beautiful creation
and learned of a woman who loved Jesus and sang for His glory.
Like a river glorious is God's perfect peace,
Over all victorious in its bright increase;
Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.
Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest,
Finding, as He promised perfect peace and rest.
We also sang "I've got a River of Life Flowing out of Me" with the motions of course.
And ended with a prayer.
And we took lots of pictures and skipped a lot of rocks...

The one good photo of me! :P

Hehe... I knew you'd notice that, Mom! :) There was a place where it was a little wider and we went around each other. It didn't end up being a big deal!

We love High Mountain Road! Jason and I have been up there several times. I think it would be awesome to do a church campout at the little campground up there. -Rhiannon
